December Currently

Yes, I am posting for the second time today... but that is only because it is time to link up with Farley for December's Currently post!
I can't believe it's already December. Only 3 weeks until Christmas Break! We have got so many things to do between now and then. I'm so excited because I love this 3 weeks. It's so fun teaching about all the different ways people celebrate and we also get to do a lot of fun extras like Book Buddies in the library with our intermediate grades and performances from our local middle and high schools. Then, we get a glorious 2 weeks off and when we come back I always see such growth from my littles! :)

Well, here is my currently!

Listening: my pups always love when hubs and I are home... they wait until we are all nice and cozy and then they start to wrestle! I love how happy they are!
Loving: I feel as though I got a lot done this 5 days off. I finished a product, I put up decorations, I did all the laundry, I went to the gym 4 times, and I had an amazing holiday with family. I'd say that's a good break!
Thinking: I had emergency surgery earlier this semester and I've been pretty lax on getting to the gym, but Wednesday night I just felt the urgency to get back with it and it feels awesome! I went again Thursday morning and Friday morning, took Saturday off, and then went again Sunday morning. It feels so good!
Wanting: I can't wait to see my babies tomorrow!
Needing: We've got a lot to do the next 3 weeks and that's how I like it. I like being busy!
Favorite Tradition: Growing up we always watched White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, and even as an adult it's no different! It's by far my fave holiday movie. That and It's a Wonderful Life.

Well thanks for reading! Click here to go and link up with Farley yourself! :)

  1. It sounds like you had a busy and productive break. I love this time of year as well and excited about it being three weeks until my next break. I found you through the currently link up.

  2. I love both of those movies, especially "It's a Wonderful Life." It's funny how your views on those traditional movies change as you get older. When I was younger I thought IAWL was nice and all, but starting somewhere in my early twenties Harry Bailey's toast ending in "The richest man in town" just made me bawl and still does.

I didn't accomplish much school-wise over break, but somehow I don't feel at all panicky. Perhaps that'll set in tomorrow morning : ). My husband (also a teacher) and I were just discussing how Thanksgiving always seems to be the most enjoyed break of the year; my theory was that four days gives you plenty of time to spend with family and friends, catch up on housework, and do some relaxing/fun things... AND you have the knowledge of another, longer break coming up in just a few weeks!

Have fun with your kiddos tomorrow!
