Five for Saturday

Today I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the highlights of my week.

1. This week we have been learning all about being a scientist. We talked about the jobs scientists have, using their senses to investigate, and the tools that they use. Here are a few of my kiddos on Friday exploring our Science tools. They loved it!

2. Dennis Lee came and did an assembly for our whole school this week. If you've ever heard of him, then you know how wonderfully funny he is. He is all about character education and helping our kiddos know that they make a difference. He is a talented ventriloquist and keeps the kids very engaged. If you ever have a chance to see his show, don't miss it!

3. We went out for a family birthday dinner last night at a popular family Mexican restaurant. It was good food and good fun!

4. I ordered this custom notepad from Vistaprint a few weeks ago and it finally came in... I can't wait to use it!
{Thanks to Cara Carroll's cute fonts!}

5. Can you tell what part of my instruction I'm trying to improve upon? We don't really have a set writing curriculum to follow, so I'm trying my darnedest to figure out what works for me!
What do you like about your writing instruction? What works for you? What doesn't work for you? I'd love to know!

Thanks for reading! :) Have a great weekend!
